Spinach Smoothie (Plant-Based)
1 ½ cups coconut water
4 cups (60 g) spinach
½ cups (70 G) pineapple
½ cups (60 G) mango
1 tbsp chia seeds
1/2 cup crushed ice (3 ice cubes)
1- In a high-speed blender combine all essential ingredients.
2- Blend for about 1 minute on high speed.
3- Top up with any optional ingredients of your choice.
4- Continue to blend until you’ve reached your desired consistency.
5- Taste & adjust the seasoning if required.
6- Serve immediately, or store in a glass bottle with a lid in your fridge.
I like to store my green smoothies in the freezer and just take them out in the evening, put it in the fridge and so it will be defrosted in the morning and will keep the vibrant colour. I always leave a little gap at the top, because frozen liquids expand. Also, you need freezeproof bottles in order to do this.
