This smoothie will keep for a few days in your fridge. You can also freeze it in a freezer-proof bottle. Just make sure to leave some air-space since frozen liquids expand. Take the smoothie out of the freezer the night before you want to drink it and leave it in your fridge to defrost.

Turmeric Smoothie

What’s so good about this smoothie?

Yellow in colour and a balanced flavour: almond milk for the lightness, banana for the creaminess and pineapple for a little sweet & tart. But really turmeric, ginger & black pepper are the superfood smoothie stars.

This smoothie is sugar-free and is made with lots of beneficial ingredients. The most active compound of turmeric, for example, is curcumin. The absorption of curcumin can be boosted with black pepper or fat (almond milk). Curcumin is an anti-inflammatory and antioxidant and has many more health benefits.
