Celery Smoothie (Plant-Based)
½ cup (70g) strawberries
½ cup (65G) blueberries
½ cup (60g) raspberries
¼ cup (60ml) water
1 (pink – peeled) grapefruit
1 tbsp maple syrup
1 tbsp flaxseeds
¼ tsp cocoa
a pinch of freshly grated nutmeg
1- In a high-speed blender combine all essential ingredients.
2- Blend for about 1 minute on high speed.
3- Top up with any optional ingredients of your choice.
4- Continue to blend until you’ve reached your desired consistency.
5- Taste & adjust the seasoning if required.
6- Serve immediately, or store in a glass bottle with a lid in your fridge.
This smoothie will keep for a few days in your fridge. You can also freeze it in a freezer-proof bottle. Just make sure to leave some air-space since frozen liquids expand. Take the smoothie out of the freezer the night before you want to drink it and leave it in your fridge to defrost.
