1 Minute Blueberry Chia Jam (Plant-Based)

When I was a little child my mum used to make homemade jams. I absolutely loved them. I loved the cooking process and watched her closely as she prepared the jars and sterilized them with boiled water. The best part was surely tasting the finished product! `Heaven on earth.´

So how in the world can I reproduce this on a plant-based level?
Well, I still love jams. But they are sugar bombs. So I would love to make my own jams, too. But  A) I live in a teeny tiny apartment and B) there is absolutely zero storage space for a load of homemade jams and C) I don’t really have the time to make homemade jams regularly. So…
…here comes the healthiest 3-ingredient blueberry chia jam ever. Voila! Also, I forgot to mention that it is a `just in time´ jam – no cooking required, no storage needed!

Blueberry Chia Jam

Ok, here is what you need to do:
For every 70-80 grams of blueberries (fresh or frozen) you need 1 tablespoon of chia seeds. If you use a little less seeds it will be more liquid. If you use a little more seeds it will be more jelly-like. Next, you need 1/2 tablespoon sweetener of your choice. My favourite sweetener is maple syrup, but I often use stevia as well. You can also leave the sweetener out.
That’s all the magic! No hassle, no storage, so quick and super healthy. Enjoy!
